The stock market thermometer
The stock market thermometer measures the current strength of the U.S. stock market and give early warnings when a stock market crash is developing.
Green = Bullish stock market
While the stock market thermometer stays in the green area, the market is considered bullish. Price corrections may still happen, but the chance of a imminent stock market crash is low.
Yellow = Neutral market
If the stock meter turns yellow, this is a warning that buying pressure or selling pressure is weakening. The current long term stock market trend could change, but the trend often resumes after a correction or period of consolidation.
Stockmeter temperature readings below 50 usually indicates a significant correction and possibly the start of a bear market or major stock market crash.
Red = Bearish stock market
When the stock barometer enter and stays in the red area, a stock market crash and/or bear market is likely underway. Protect your investment capital!
Is cash flowing in or out of the stock market? The Trend-Chart money flow graph is the only stock chart that measures exactly how much cash is moving into, or out of, the stock market.
Stock price versus money flow
While regular stock charts only give investors a partial picture of the investment landscape by showing changes in price, the money flow graph track the movement of smart money in the market and shows how much money is flowing into, or out of, the U.S. stock market.
The stock market trend chart is measuring daily changes in supply and demand - if the smart money (including mutual funds and big institutional investors) is accumulating or distributing at any given time.
Measuring the entire U.S. stock market
Most stock indices, even those quoted as representing the total market, only reflect a small portion of the
actual market.
The money flow chart is designed to track all the U.S. common stocks included in the MSCI US Broad Market Index and traded regularly on the New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq over-the-counter market.
